  3.     The Free Widget Foundation project was started summer 1990 in order
  4.     to collect existing widgets in a well-publicized location to prevent
  5.     duplication of effort.  Numerous people have expressed interest
  6.     in submitting widgets to the collection.  The collection process is
  7.     going slowly because of lack of time and organizational needs.  The
  8.     "Free Widget Foundation" is a pun on the "Free Software Foundation"
  9.     title.  While the two organizations share some similar goals, that is
  10.     the improvement of the quality and quantity of public software, this
  11.     organization is in no way related to the Free Software Foundation or
  12.     the GNU projects.  In fact, we aren't even a "foundation" in the
  13.     legal meaning of the word.  We are solely a group of volunteers
  14.     attempting to build up a working set of usable widgets in an efficient
  15.     manner.

  18.     free widgets set.  To be added to the mailing list, send mail to
